we have center diff housings too, just not so much of a demand for them and they are more expensive than a alloy diff housing. i think you problem may be that you are driving it 2wd, as said many times before these cars should not be 2wd. 4wd is a worthy upgrade and prolongs the life of your parts. cheers

also the updated diff mod prevent the cups from coming loose, and it puts less resistance on the gears, this tec was used by our lost member 'speedyd' he said that after filing the gears he had no more breakages.. i have had about three tanks through mine since the updated mod and no problems, the previous mod held up too but after about three - five tank the gears would go.. we will see how long this mod holds up.. we are working on getting the 1/4th diffs to fit the 1/5th.. these apparently are very strong.. they look much better designed than the current 1/5th diffs. cheers

lol, nope its def not a cheap hobby.. as said before the alloy center diff housing is not a 'must have' hopup in our opnion.. i would rather have a closed center diff with gears..
but also take in mind that the alloy center diff housing eliminates the center diff squares so you save money on that too... ;D

thats a picture of a MCD with dual braking, if you install the center diff then it helps to have braking in the center too..hence the dual brakes.. sweet mod that is..

Hi Fsmt4wd I've installed the rear alloy dif cover and ran it for a few mins, running the stock engine and think the clutch is acting up so plan to strip it down when work isn't so busy. cheers joe
