hi hoppy nice to have you here heh heh thanks, nice to be here ;D i'm actually half dutch lol, my mum's family from rotterdam it really is great this site is here... so many unanswered questions can now be answered, and the one thing that has really disappointed me in so many forums is the apparent need for "clone" bashing... i am a single parent, i can't afford the real mccoy mcd... if i had the money i'd probably be crazy enough to spend $10,000 on a serious touring car, but alas, i started with the fs for no real reason, other than i managed to barter with a Sydney dealer for $550- a very affordable 2wd fs touring car, about one month ago... and loving it!

dont let the clone haters get you down, FS is not the first company to make a clone, they all are just jealous!!

Having had a solid history of involvement in 1:1 car & m'bike racing, playing/modding/tweaking the fs is almost as much fun and challenging as driving it! ;D under pics and vids i've added more photos, and a link to youtube of last weekend's first run/2nd tank with the Zenoah I invite anyone an all to make comments... i'm new to scale cars, so the more tips the better!

Hi everyone! Nice forum here. (I popped over from the other one.) Have'nt gotten the chance to run my FS truggy yet (It's still in pieces awaiting more mods) Thinking about pulling the engine apart to check tolerences first. This is my first clone since my FG's so I'm gonna massage it up nice before running it in. I've been doing this RC thing for 26 years now and I have fallen in love with the gassers.

while you have it apart it is wise to follow along with the recomened mods that these guys have come up with.the shocks and diffs are a priority. you should also check out their alloy goods very nice stuff!i strongly believe that with the parts these guys have come up with you can build an fs that is bomb proof!

Thanks fsmt4wd and speedyd! Yes, I read much in the forums before I made a bid for my FS. Gotta do the homework! There's some good stuff in here of others experiences that helped me get my FS project going and I will be sure to post my tips that work well to help others as well.
sickboy: Are you kiddin? I'd never give up my FG's. Best beater in a pinch! I'm jelous, wish I could afford the 4wd conversion for mine! I have the parts but haven't built the alloyed FG yet. My FGMB (as well as my race LST and Savages) has some custom mods done to it as well as a few one-off parts that I machined by hand (if that makes sense!) and I'm sure the FS will be no different! I'll let you guys know what I come up with as I go. ;>)

Hi Guys, Great forum. Was starting to think us FS guys were a bit left out. Am in Western Australia. Got the 2WD buggy and its awesome. Handles heaps better than a certain HPI model if you ask me. lol.
