i have just received a set of prototype mt wheels, they are freakin' huge, they are 5 9/16" diameter and 3 1/2" wide. they are also true beedlock design. i will take some pics and get them up for you all to check out i am currently sworn to secrecy as to what company is making them( it is a major company in the US. and i have yet to receive the tires, they are in the process of being shipped. i will not be posting any pics of these on the other site tthat we all use, this is a treat just for you guys!

they are a little over 5/8" thick where the axle goes through the wheel, they have a (im guessing here)23mm hex like the 5b the manufacturer is sending out the adaptors as well. they are not made of cheap plastic but nylon so i will be dyeing them. they have a good deal of structural ribs on the backside. and they are coming from a very well known wheel/tire/body company, so they should be made pretty well. i will post the pics of the tires as soon as they arrive. i know that they will be made in several different finishes as well. i cant wait to get some color to them , mount the tires and then we shall see what kind of beating they can take! these have given me a new direction for the truck as well i will be getting an mcd monster body, and i may even pull my motor out and install a 2mm stuffed crank to help turn those bad boys.

one way would be to invest(and that is a big INVEST) in an mcd evo 2 suspension set. you would have to get upper and lower arms, tie rods, and bones, possibly a few items im forgeting. i have and still am considering this due to the added stability, not to mention they look cool! i managed to move the blocks the wheel mounts on out about a 1/4" on each axle by using a bearing as a spacer and grinding new flat spots into my axles. so far i havent had any troubles ( i had to do this mod to get my mcd wheels to mount due to their deep offset). i dont know if you can use baja wheel extenders or not. i will check with my buddy at innovative and see if he has any clues. those wheels i posted pics on this forum are a liitle bigger in diameter and width than anything else out right now but they are still about a month away from going into production.
