Just checkingout that jet pro pipe you have on there wolfen hows the power curve on your 23 and what gearing are you running ?
I have a carbon fighter pipe that I got from fshopups that pipe is killer on the top end it's like a second gear after you get some rpms on my cy28.5 after I took out the silencer wading . But I am leaning towards a pipe with a little more power down low or doing some gear changing I'm running 30/33/23/26

I sent my redcat side pipe to dino for repair and have that and the redcat rear pipe coming back. I'll see which one fits the cen and the other goes on my redcat (both will fit the rally).
I am a huge jet pro fan. you can't get better service, warranty and the quality of the pipes makes them one of the toughest out there. if you'd seen my wipe out, then you'd understand why the pipe broke LOL.
one of these days I have to send Dino my semi. we have discussed him making me custom stacks for a while. it's winter so probably a good time. I'll strip the truck, get it ready for next year and then ship it down... well I had been waiting for him to make a trip up. he was supposed to come visit our beautiful golf courses, then I could just hand it to him... maybe we will just meet at the border. he's also taking my F1 and motorcycle to work on so he has a line of on road pipes to sell, and he'd be the first real pipe maker to do a motorcycle pipe 1/5 ttr

oh ya, shape has a big determining factor on the power output. the rear pipe should give lots of torque with the huge pipe. the side pipe, well when I went back to the stock can I lost so many revs it was silly. I lost torque too. the f1 pipe is a little thing but makes the 26 rev out decent. fat torque, long and thin revs for a basic idea. then play around with those some. the jet pro gt5r pipe was massive but produced huge power gains.

maybe it's not the pipe I was thinking today that I need to go up on my clutch spring to maybe a 8000rpm instead of a 6000rpm cuz the pipe really comes on in the upper rpm range it's like a 2 speed

i was running on a track with guys that have 5T & 5B's the track isnt a power track so i did pretty good for my first time on a track one way to find out what you have to tweak i found out that i really need a second steering servo & better batteries those mxt's worked really good i did find that near the top end it sounded like it had a second gear & got squirrelly im going to run the 23 this winter then next year in the spring im going to do an engine rebuild going to a 26cc hoping to see a big difference btw im running the mt gears

I know the cen needed 2 servos. it felt like a stock slash. counter steering was slow and I over corrected all the time until I got the feel for the boatiness. now a couple 805's in there... I have to admit though the stock can in this thing was somewhat a surprise and am not going to be totally put out if I don't have the new pipe for next weekend's bash. ya it would have more power, but this 30.5 cc is a heck of a power plant. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5phmyyyVVlE

Here's a couple pics using the Jet Pro side pipe for the Redcat. I had to flatten the end a bit on the anvil to clear the tire but otherwise it was a direct bolt on. am charging the camera so I'll get more pics. I also have to make a different spacer for the shock bolt to hold the add on silencer. I have emailed these pics to Dino at Jet Pro and he's allready altered the design for future pipes so no bending will be needed and the pipe will fit FS, CEN and Redcats

I ran the same pipe on my redcat rally. I really like it. provides way more top end revs and a fairly smooth power band throughout. I cut the original spacer down last night but had to run to band practice. decided to take another day off work today... hehe too pooped and too much snow... ok so I just wanted to stay home and wrench my rc's
I wrote cen to ask about difs, gears and gear plate. they said gears coming next month, otherwise visit an fs distributor for anything else I need... yup.. that was informative
