idd I'm thinking for the mcd evo2 arms. which are much longer. thus the pivot of the wheel is better. I can shorten the wheel apdaptors. red old position. Blue new position. purple new state of wheel. light blue old state of wheel. gr sander.

Hello Sander! I had the same thought.. but I found too many factors against it.. 1. If the car is 4WD I think you will have a problem with the drive shafts.. The pivot points of the hub and driveshaft outer joint needs to line up, or there is a big risk of binding or popping drive shafts at full lock. Moving the pivot point of the drive shaft outwards is not easy, because it then collides with the wheel bearings..some cars have the wheel bearing outside the bell housing (to move the pivot point of the driveshaft outer joint), but the hub is not big enough to fit such a bearing.. 2 Moving the pivot point also has a big effect on the ackerman. 3 When you have the inner wheel at full stop and draw a line from the hub pivot point through the outer steering arm joint to the inner steering arm joint, I suspect it will be a straight line. This means that the inner wheel will 'lock up' at full lock. They are not very far from doing this in the standard setup. I'm not saying it's impossible, just checking if you thought it through Using FG front hubs might save you some work if the car is not 4WD.
