It's a cool truck. I am liking it. I had to come here to do lots of reading. Seems David and Lee are the best to get hop ups from. I want to start adding goodies soon to the drivetrain. motor mount/gear plate has to be the first upgrade, bulkheads, center dif and brake mount and lsd difs... I'll run these difs until they explode and replace them so that's my last upgrade

Hello all, figured I would say hello as I picked up my first 4wd 5th scale. Figure was about time as the 2wd bajas are fun but I wanted 4. I got the CEN SC which after reading and reading on other sites and comparing parts is basically an FS with different lower arms, and roll cage is slightly bent. Anyway thought I would say hello as its nice to have a place to ask questions and post pics. I know I need to replace bearings, and do the diffs, already asked fshopups for the alloy cases and gears and gear plate, just have to save up some and get it all. Not really a basher so I want to have it reliable for the track. We have a track in Stratsford, Ontario where we run all summer, but everyone has a 2wd baja and couple bring their 4wd. Have seen a fg, mcd and elcon but I wanted to join the 4wd without spending huge money. Found that with the hpi stuff everything breaks eventually and you end up getting hopups, so after seeing all the hopup support for the FS figure you can't go wrong. I already tore it down now just need to make that FS order. Also found an interesting thread on a German site about the suspension travel as I noticed it is not hinged on the lower arms. www.rc-support.de/board/viewtopic.php?f=144&t=348&sid=77707812385e2b01506d376fdc674c84&start=200Figure that should help with the travel. Thanks guys for putting up a forum dedicated to the FS.

Hello Gino
Great that you joined! I was reading over that thread too and yes it is a better setup(the cen design) less drag on the cvd;s etc.
We are thinking of offering a conversion kit to the cen style upper and lower arms, and then of course we would make these in alloy too..
have a look around, lots of good tips on the forum! also the DIY section on my website is very helpful too.
cheers

Hey Gino, good group of guys here. The CEN had some really good points. It's different to drive than the others I own but was fun as hell. I just love the look of sc trucks.

Well, here I suddenly am in 1/5. I got a real cheap used 2wd truck coming, if I start using it a lot I'll do some upgrades. I've got 3 other trucks and 6 or so r/c helicopters so I don't want to jump into large scale with both feet (to the tune of 1.000 bux or so) Hopefully the thing will run well enough and long enough to keep me interested and pimp it over time. Lots of reading to do, eh?
