simple question, can the rear dogbones, etc, be used in the front?
or won't the dogbones have enough movement for steering?

the question really is, if I buy a second truck as spare parts, will I have enough parts to convert my current truck to 4wd?

The answer is YES! I did this on my buggy. I bought a Reely Carbon Fighter from Conrad.de for 299Eur, and used the driveline parts to convert the FS to 4wd. (and I have a lot of spares as a bonus!) You need to shorten the prop-shaft going from the center diff to the front diff. I just cut it close to the ball joint in one end, and then welded it back together. Works fine! I also removed a little material on the front driveshafts next to the outer ball joints to prevent the shaft hitting the outer cup at full turn. Also use some pieces of rubber hose to axially align the front shafts in the cups and prevent them from popping out. It all works fine for me! I think I wrote something about it before too.

should I buy a second truck, or not..
I'm beginning to regret buying the first!
1:5 scale is simply too big!
I paid $AU400 for the first brand new, and can get a second brand new for only $AU340....
but that seems like money I could put towards a 1:10 or 1:8 buggy or stadium truck!

Well, if you don't like large scale, don't invest more in it. However, a 4wd LS car can be a lot of fun once you get it running like it should.. I personally will never go back to the nitro's!
