Hi All
I was wondering if anyone out there could give me a little more detail into how to perform the all magical diff mod? I am talking about the one where you add silicon using the syringe through a hole you have tapped into the diff.
The problem I have is that the diff casing seems pretty thin, so how would I get a decent thread after drilling through the casing? Has anyone got any in depth pictures of how they did it or cangive me a really good run down and some tips on it?
Thanks again
Lee

the case is thick enough to make a thread, it only needs to keep a set screw in place, just make sure you dont screw it in all the way otherwise it will fall into the housing and then ya gonna haveto take it all apart again and refill..been there done that lollol

yup slow process, but worth it. also this might suck to hear but i found for best results you should do this every 5 tanks of gas.
if you maintain it then you will avoid problems down the line. i can disassemble my fs with my eyes closed lololol

every 5 tanks aint that bad. Plus it is easier to disassemble then the Baja to get to the diffs.

I never drove it stock so I can't compare anything to that. But I did the diff mods to both put the stiffer one up front. All I can say is the thing handles fantastic on the road had the rear dog bones level and the front just below and it turns very well. It felt like it will turn even tighter as I gave it some gas. This was all done on the street so the street tires may have helped but just wanted to say thanks.
