I gather that would be a 5745MG that gave up on you? Now that got me a bit worried, as I've just put a couple of those in... With 36 kilos acting on the steering system and the additional holding power of digital hardware, they shouldn't easily overload.

stunk out my whole house with the pong of the burnt electrics, came by this info on the web, 'Personally I use both the Multiplex Rhino Digi4 & the Power speed, The reason why I chose Multiplex over Hi-Tec is I heard stories about the Hi-Tec HS - 5745MG servo burning-out when at full lock on the steering for a period of time, However this is a known problem for this servo & a way around it is setting the EPA to around 70-80% In saying this I also heard people who have never had any problems with them & swear by them ...But I didn't want to chance anything & I heard no negative comments about the Multiplex servos so in the end I went for the Multiplex setup, needless to say the Mulitplex servos look sweet with the bright red case!' the thing is my epa was set at around 66 so i dont think it was that but the full lock for a long periods of time on the ice was the eventual killer of it. so im now looking on picking up a second hand rhino digi4..

i have heard from someone that repairs rhino digi4's that the hitec 5745mg is exactly the same as the rhino, the only difference is the rhino has a heat sink and different servo horns,(but are made in the same factory with the same engines and gears) the advantage of the mg is that it comes stock with a alloy horn and apparently it is easier to repair than the rhino.. so dont waste ya money on the rhinos, just get the hitecs..
