Following removal of turn limiters, the ultimate turn limit turns out to be the inner rose joints on steering rods hitting the diff housing. Cant's dremel that because it's where the bolts go through. No easy way getting around this. For buggy/rally driving I could use several degrees more turn...

you will want to keep an eye on your rose joints closest to the wheels. if your wheels hit them they will cut into them while driving, i fuond this out the hard way!

yeah the bump stops limit the steering way too much, turning circle is that of a small ship! I removed them but can't see why they were put there in the first place?

Great link, thanks sickboy... yeah the bump stops limit the steering way too much, turning circle is that of a small ship! I removed them but can't see why they were put there in the first place? It seems to me they were concerned that the steering hubs (uprights) might hit the axles (unis), and at that angle the uni joints might start to jam and get damaged. (When you disconnect the steering rod at the steering hub you can see how this works). However, that is prevented by the inner rose joints stopping on the diff housing first, as noted above. I'm going to sand a just a tiny little bit off the diff housing and inner rose joints at their contact point to get those few extra degrees, which make so much difference.
