My buggy came with a GWS S666 steering servo (one) as stock. A review of the steering system quickly showed that a dual servo setup would be much more in order here, as a single-servo setup leaves quite a bit of play in the steering, which is designed for a dual servo arrangement. Having tested the car in stock condition, I quickly found that the stock servo was too weak to operate the steering on its own even in mild driving conditions. Moreover, steering was uneven, the car clearly turned better (tighter) to the right than to the left. So upgrading to a dual-servo arrangement is recommended. I would (and will) scrap the stock servo altogether and install two better servos. One suggestion is Hitec HS 805 - a moderately priced, metal geared and ball bearing equipped servo. A more pricey choice would be Futaba S5301. Anyway, when choosing a servo bear in mind that the mounting screw holes (centers) must be 22 - 23 mm apart on the width side - some servos don't support this width, e.g. Scanner (18 mm), which otherwise would also make a good choice for the money.
UPDATE: I have just ordered two Hitec HS 5745MG servos... The Scanner, which worked well on a Carson Attack on several occasions, died today on its maiden drive on the buggy after several minutes of pretty mild driving on frozen ground. Something happened to the gears in the Scanner, because the motor works but does not move the horn. Although the Scanner seemed stronger than the stock GWS, it, too, was unable to operate the steering evenly in both directions and with proper effectiveness. Dual quality servos seem a MUST.

yea, might have to drill a slightly bigger hole at the center diff carriers, but it works no problem, also you need to make a alloy strip at the servo saver, i think mcd sells those too

Wow! that looks awesome. Looks like a great mod, should help stiffen the chassis up and keep servos secure. I'll add those parts to my list with the Hitec servos P.S. those alloy diff mounts and gear carrier are FS Racing yeah?

Any place in Europe where I could order an FS servo pull-rod (the red thing with a turnbuckle ) for the other steering servo? And the ballheads that go in it?

Finally they are here: I installed both today and went out on the frozen car tracks in the snow outside... Yes, that's what I had been waiting for... an entirely different driving experience, better steering and handling, much of the understeer is gone as I hoped it would. Next the steering limiters will be sawed off to improve turning, cornering, power-sliding and flicks even further Good for the Hitecs to be water resistant, because there is a ton of densely packed snow on the car every time I drive out there. BTW, the Carson Attack tires rip through the frozen snow to the underlying earth with amazing ease... And yes, I mounted them diagonally until I get a different servo plate
