Engine on the first video is all standard FS components but I ported the cylinder and replaced the carb. Porting pics: The engine on the second video is a FS/Zen hybrid.. Piston and crank are Zen, the rest is FS. The cylinder is mildly ported, long intake from rc-car-online, same kind of carb as the first engine. Porting pics of second engine: Both cranks are straightened to 1/100mm, on the picture is the jig i use, and one broken FS crank.. That is why I have a Zen crank in the second engine. The pipe is a FS pipe that is very much modified.. Read about it here: fsracing4wd.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=engine&action=display&thread=133Driving in the snow is nice! Do you have spiked tires, or why do you think it won't drift? I think almost everything will drift in snow

Not much to see, just melting snow, and a lot of it!! I cleaned off some snow with compressed air, and still there was a big puddle of water under the car after all the snow melted! But, it's much better than having mud everywhere..

From what I've heard/read the Hostile's should be very good indeed , with excellent wear characteristics to top it all of. 23cc could be a little to small for those big tires combined with 4wd , you're going to need some decent torque.... That's why i went with a 30,5cc raceported kit from Oneill Brothers , I'm running Pro-line Excavators

Another one from today: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PdzOcwfDiYThere is a bit too much loose snow, and that created some problems with the throttle and air filter.. Merry X-mas everybody!

nice real nice have you tryed to put something in front of the filter like a peace of plastic just to stop the build up of the snow mmm

I was thinking of the opposite actually, using an 'open' filter without the can around it. I think I will try the 'microphone filter' next time i drive. The snow is like dust, so it follows the air wherever it goes. It then gets stuck inside the can around the filter. It really was packed up in the filter can, parts of it was ice too.. I suspect it would just go around the shield. With an open filter the snow has a chance to fall off the surface of the filter.. well that's my theory..
By the way, I'm running the highest gearing possible in the last video (33/30 & 25/24) and with the open areas, I think top speed could be even a little bit higher. Is there something in between the MT gearing and the buggy gearing? I have the MT gearing too, but I think that will be to much if I swap the big gear to the clutch bell side..
