Yeah, I did not expect a perfect car, but at least I expected it to be driveable! I will still take it apart to the last screw, and then make a summary that I will send to Rovan. Actually I don't care how they react, because I don't want to replace the broken parts with the same brittle plastic again.. and the crank case can be TIG welded. Transmission seems good on these, while the plastic is s**t, quite opposite to the FS

Put a new zen 36mm top end on one of my engines and made a video today while running it in (still running rich) www.youtube.com/watch?v=c55Jo7GT2uI&feature=channelEverything on the engine is Zen now, exept the crank case. About the Rovan baja, I ran it once in the snow, but it was useless, 4wd is the way to go in the snow! The Rovan will have to wait until the snow is gone.

No, I think I will stay with the FS as my 4wd option for some time still, it works quite well nowadays, after all the mods I even have some thoughts on more updates/mods in the future.. I got the Rovan because I wanted a (lighter) car with more suspension travel that handles rough terrain and jumps better than the FS. I read some horrible things about the nutech/smartech too, diff housings, diffs etc breaking and needing alu-replacements.. but on the other hand many seem happy with them. I think they are updating some stuff still to make them reliable? I got the Zen 36mm top end as 'deal of the day' from DDM(approx 70Eur with customs etc), the crank is a used Zen that cost abt 10Eur. Then there is the bearings, seals etc, maybe 30Eur. The dyno is actually my brother's, and he's in Finland, so there will be no dynoing for me at the moment..

Ordered one of these yesterday: www.mogatech.de/shop/index.php?a=4127&lang=engPrice was too good to resist! Definitely beats a 350Eur 2wd CF from Conrad , where the engine and radio is crap anyway.., think the MCD has a little bit better quality on the other parts too. Will be interesting to compare them! Not sure if I'll keep it though, might sell it, or sell the FS and keep the MCD..
